Working/Projects

  • In Mar/April 2023 I started working on a new startup.

    • If you are a machine learning engineer, with infinite curiosity and a fire to get things done, drop me a message!

    • If you want to learn more about this field check my AI/LLM curated reading/studying list.

  • In 2022 I started a startup studio Cerebellum Ventures (crblm.io), explored a few concepts, created a new product that became a new startup (useparo.com) with its own founding team, funding, traction, and revenue.

  • 2021:
AstroLabs (astrolabs.com) has been my main focus for ~7 years and in December 2020 my co-founder and I nominated our long time amazing COO as the the CEO. After about 6 months of transition in May 2021 we moved to board members.
So while I will be supportive going forward I am currently on the board and not involved in day to day operations. The company now has 4 thriving business lines, 90+ team members, and sustainable growth in large markets.

  • I have been mentoring tech entrepreneurs for the past 7 years and will probably continue to do that in some capacity.

  • In 2018 I started working on a book project. It’s a book I want to give to my son in a few years. It will include family history and notes from his first few years before long term memories form as well as chapters on values, mental models and other advice I can share. I want to dedicate more time to the book with a goal of writing a chapter every quarter.

Thinking

These are topics I have in my mind at the moment (and, for most, for years):
- Solutions for predatory financial behavior by financial institutions (including the most recognized banks) around the world.
- Waste: Energy waste, material waste, food waste and most of all the waste of human potential.
- Education: With the infinite availability of great learning resources who’s helping guide people who can leverage these new assets. How do we transition from learning to practicing and doing?
- Small business entrepreneurship: A lot of the best resources are focused on scaling/tech startups and small business entrepreneurs don’t get as much support with very high quality content/how-tos/etc.
- I have had a 20+ year aspiration of creating science/math/tech museums around the world and want to spend more time researching how they can become a reality.

Reading

The Last couple of books I enjoyed reading: Keeping at it by Paul Volcker and Leading with Character by Jim Loehr

Investing

While I am still mildly active in angel investing, I am not open to unsolicited opportunities at the moment.
